K-Clubs

The Indiana University of Pennsylvania Circle K Club is a coeducational service, leadership-development, and friendship organization, organized and sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Indiana. It is self-governing, elects its own officers, conducts its own meetings, determines its own service activities and establishes its own dues. Its Objects mirror the Objects of the Kiwanis (The home page has a link to Kiwanis International, try it!).

The Key Club is a coeducational service organization at Indiana High School for high school students. It is a self-governing organization and elects its own officers, determines its own service activities and establishes its own dues structure. The Kiwanis Club of Indiana offers Key Club financial support, leadership training, and participates in each other’s service projects. The Kiwanis Club of Indiana will soon sponsor the Blairsville High School Key Club in a similar manner.

The Indiana Junior High Builder’s Club is a coeducational service club, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Indiana. The club provides young junior high students the opportunity to help others, serve the school and the community, and build a positive future for themselves. The club usually consists of students in grades 7-8-9. The club’s objectives are:

  • Provide opportunities for working together in service to school and community.
  • Develop leadership potential
  • Foster the development of a strong moral character
  • Encourage loyalty to school, community, and nation.

The Ben Franklin Elementary School K-Kids is a coeducational club sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Indiana that provides children in elementary school the opportunity to provide service to their community, develop pride, learn about volunteerism and develop leadership skills. Parents, teacher advisors, Kiwanis, Key Club and Circle K all work together to help achieve these goals.

The Kiwanis Club of Indiana sponsors an Aktion Club which helps provide adult community members who live with a disability the opportunity to develop initiative and leadership, to serve their community and to contribute as a community member. The Kiwanis Club of Indiana works in close coordination with the Indiana County Workshop, a local agency, which provides services to adults that live with disabilities.
