The Indiana Kiwanis Club Student of the Month for October 2025 at the River Valley School District is Craig Rupert.

Craig wants to pursue a B.S. in Welding and Fabrication Engineering Technology, with a specialization in Nondestructive Testing.  He is dual-enrolled with WCCC and the Penn College of Technology and is in the National Technology Honor Society.  Craig is a STEAM Welding Student of the Year, is the Welding Class Safety Officer, and the Occupational Advisory Committee Representative.  He is also the Student Ambassador for Welding Technology.

Outside of school, Craig is involved with BMX racing, helps with his family's auto and equine business, and does lawn care for seniors in his community.  He wants to "show others, especially the
younger generation and those considering a future in a trade or trade school, how you can reach your goals and be recognized for who you are. Being a good person still holds value! "

He quoted his mother, who told him, "to the world you may only be one person, but to one person you may be the world”, and that’s what I aim to be to others in any way I can.

The Indiana Kiwanis Club is pleased to recognize Craig Rupert and will recognize one student a month through the school year; at the end of the year, two of the students will receive a scholarship from the club.
